Safeguarding guidance for students and how to contact the Safeguarding Team.

What do the Safeguarding Team do

Safeguarding is the protection of children and adults at risk of harm from:

  • Abuse
  • Maltreatment
  • Harm to their health or development. Child Anyone under the age of 18. This extends to age 24 if a person:
  • Is a Looked After Child
  • Has an Education and Health Care Plan
  • Has a learning or other disability. Vulnerable Adult Anyone aged 18 or over who is, or maybe, in need of community care services for disability, age or illness; or who may be unable to protect themselves against significant harm or exploitation.
     

The Safeguarding Team will help/advice support anyone who has concerns or wants to report;

  • Abuse - Physical, Sexual, Emotional, Neglect
  • Drug and Alcohol Abuse
  • Child Sexual Exploitation
  • Child Criminal Exploitation
  • Grooming
  • County Lines
  • Bullying & Harassment
  • PREVENT
