The Bus Fare Cap Grant scheme is a Government funded scheme being introduced on most single bus journeys until 31 December 2024. Please check before you travel with your local bus services, or, at Gov.uk https://www.gov.uk/guidance/2-bus-fare-cap
This means that students who use Stagecoach Services to travel to Lincoln College from further away places, such as Skegness, Market Rasen, Gainsborough and Grantham can do so currently for a maximum of £4.00 per day, providing they purchase a single ticket to get to college and a single ticket to get home.
Students who travel to Newark College from further away places, such as Mansfield, can also currently travel for a maximum of £4.00 per day, providing they purchase a single ticket to get to college and a single ticket to get home.
If you are under the age of 20 and live in Lincoln and the surrounding area you will continue to find that it is cheaper to purchase a Young Persons DayRider ticket at £3.70 per day, or a Lincoln 7 Day Young Person MegaRider ticket at £16.50 if you attend college 4 or more days per week.
If you are under the age of 20 and live in Newark and the surrounding area (including Southwell) and travel to Newark College you will continue to find that it is cheaper to purchase a Young Person DayRider ticket at £2.60 per day, or a Newark 7 Day Young Person MegaRider ticket at £10.40 if you attend college 4 or more days per week.
